It 35 degrees celsius outside and I dont know what the temperature is in my gym. There's no air con and two small windows, if I stand still for long enough I run the risk of drowning in the pool of sweat at my feet.

I was wondering are there any benfits to training in this environment?

It's definitely more difficult to train with same intensity and I get drained much quicker, those are the disadvantages I see. What about the advantages?

There are none apart from dehydration and potentially hyperthermia.

I guessed there weren't any benefits unless your planning on fighting in a Las Vegas car park in the middle of the day Barry MaGuigan v Cruz style.

As I can't change destination i'll drink plenty of water and look forward to to cooler temperatures.

No benefit at all. If you are not fit, you will suffer for days after.

If you heat up the bodies core, you will burn more fat and expend more energy.

If you train in cold conditions your body has to burn calories to warm you up and keep you warm. I can't see any advantages to training in hot conditions.

I see ONE advantage. When you end up having a fight in hot conditions, you have seen it before in the gym.
