    hi guys
just wondering how you have managed to train in the heat, i could barely handle it, worked out one day when it was 80+ degrees in the gym and i could hardly breathe
what sort of experiences have people had? any ways you've managed to cope?

Not training myself at the moment but could always remember the summer training sessions and always wondered if it done you any favours fitness wise? Would be interested to hear from someone who knows about that sort of stuff

90-100+ degrees around here, though I don't really notice when working out. We had to do 2 miles a week ago and the only thing going through my head is moving forward. It did really kick in after the run, but until it's done I'm relentless.

On the subject of training in hot weather in general, it's a good way to shed a few pounds, and the sun feels amazing after the workout.

I can't train without it . I'm addicted to the intensity .I wear hoodies a sauna suit and hat sometime .The more you sweat the less you bleed in competition I read .I have put my body through too much I think and burnt alot of muscle as well .Now my metabolism is starting to slow .Need to clean my diet and it should be ok but I read training in the cold can speed it up as well .

You're kidding right? 80 degrees is like 26 celsius. That's a particularly warm day in winter where I live, and perfect training weather.

In summer here it's quite normal to get upwards of 45 degrees (110+), and christ only knows how hot it is in the gym, which is a glorified tin shed.

Drink a lot of water. I actually love training in the boxing gym with the garage doors up when it's hot out.

:D:D I was thinking about this the other day my gym here in Newy is literally a warehouse concrete floors and tin roof. In summer its going to be ****ing ridiculous luckily I usualyl train in the evenings so it won't be as bad. Its almost too hot for me to train at the moment I think I'll have to migrate for the summer.

They don't mean literally you numbskull, the idea is work harder and bleed less. It's just a saying, do you understand?
The more water you lose the more your performance suffers. Sub-optimal training = sub-optimal results. You'll bleed more in competition.
    Train hard and train smart.
