I have over the years been instreastd in the link between driving and sports injuries Does anybody here do a lot of driving and train I have experienced myself shin splints running over 30 miles a week and driving 90k a year I do have to make a living as well ! I get over this by stretching the calf muscles 3 times as more as you would normally after training I also know a lorry driver that plays football He suffers more pulled calfs and cramp than your normal Sunday morning footballer . Rugby players also say this Along with runners in the US with long commutes
Just guessing here but it might be a combination of repetitive use injuries and muscle imbalance. Maybe working with a qualified occupational therapist could help you get sorted out.
