    Hey

I'm no amateur boxer however I did attend a boxing club for a few months or so last year to help me get in shape. I've always loved boxing and the training that is associated with it.

A couple of years ago i managed to drop 14 lbs through basic gym workouts (3 days weights and 1 day cardio) however it just got too monotonous. This time round i wanna mix it up to keep me interested.

on my cardio day i've been doing interval sprints followed by 5 x 3 min rounds of jump rope.

I wanna introduce some other boxing related exercise to my cardio day. Can anyone think of any - and can anyone point me to some good medicine ball exercises too?

This time round i wanna drop 25 lbs to get me to 147lbs. I started at 172 and in 2 weeks ive managed to get down to 166 but theres a long, hard road ahead. My bf% needs dropped like a MF - its sitting in the low 20's too so hopefully that'll decrease too.

    appreciate any help given :)

well with running and jump rope it is a good idea to wear sweats so you will burn more, eat healthy meals keep away from suger flour dairy ect and you'll lose the fat.

    Eat Clean and train hard.

thanks. yes one thing i did learn from before that with regard to losing the lbs, 90% of the effort was the diet. the rest was in the gym.

i'm eating like a caveman basically with the odd snack here and there which i'm slowly phasing out too!

well you gotta have 3 Meals a day don't skip any meal.

I use to weight 250 pounds I'm now a healthy 172 what I did to lose weight was simple

I ran 2 times a day for about 20 mins etch with sweats on.

    My Diet was simple

Oatmeal 1Spoon of Flax seeds in the morning. Morning should be the biggest meal of the day

    Banana for a snack

dinner I had cooked or grilled chicken with vegetables. The 2nd biggest meal of the day

and Supper I had something light like a grapefruit apple or something. 3rd biggest meal of the day and make sure not to eat after 6PM so you finish eating at 6PM.

Drink alot of Water, studys have shown that ppl who were more hydrated they lost more weight then ppl who did not, so drink alot of water. its all so good to drink 1 cup of water before a Meal.

    Good luck!

just skip rope Run and eat healthy

How is wearing 'sweats' going to help burn more fat? Then in your post after this you talk about how important it is to stay hydrated... Interesting

wearing sweats will burn more fat it will keep the body warmer.

and staying Hydrated will not gain any weight what so ever.
Also did you lose over 80 pounds of weight? I did I know what I'm talking about.

Do you really think you need your body to be warmer when you're exercising?
Drinking water is a smart thing to do but it does make you gain weight, what do you think happens to it when it enters your body?
Wearing sweats will make you lose that water weight and dehydrate you so you can't exercise for as long or at a high intensity.
You could put a bucket on your head, only eat tic tacs and lose 100 pounds, that doesn't mean that you're smart or that you have any idea about what you're doing when it comes to weight loss.
I understand human physiology and I understand that you're obviously not too bright.

That shut me up  Congratulations on your weight loss anyway, your advice was pretty sound apart from the sweats part. As you correctly said staying hydrated is important so that's why I wondered about the contradictory advice of wearing sweats aswell.

lefty's right (no pun intended), you're wrong.

wearing sweats isn't gonna help you burn any significant amount of fat. It'll just make you lose water weight that you'll gain right back when you re-hydrate (which ironically enough [hydration] was one of the main things you pointed out the importance of).

  11. very old fashioned way of doing it ( breakfast big meal lunch medium size and dinner small , really u should eat 5 - 6 small meals all the same size however it is inconvinient so the other way realistically is probably easier unless u dont work etc

yeh i thought the same thing one of the biggest myths going i reckon

imo sweat suits / layered clothing is only effective if your trying to make weight and youve ****ed up and your over and you have to try and loose water weight.

exercising with layered clothing is going to make you work less efficiently if anything and if you think about it if your body is working less efficiently, your not working as hard and your not going to burn as much fat if thats your goal.

staying well hydrated was a good bit of advice though :good

I'd like to give myself a pat on the ass for spreading the sweat suit knowledge lol. Some lady came into the store I work at looking for sauna suits and I told her what's up. She was shocked. (and she decided not to buy one)

I wonder how many people are running around out there thinking that doing **** like this will actually help them. It's insane.
