Murata I can't make up my mind about. He looks good sometimes, but when he fought Khytrov in the amateurs he turtled up and wouldn't let his hands go.

I've said it before, but you are sleeping on Eubank Jr. That boy has the potential to be better than Lemieux, Lee, or Saunders who narrowly beat him. He doesn't deserve to be ranked lower. I just watched the Eubank Jr vs Saunders fight and Eubank was clearly the superior athlete. He was coming on strong in the second half of that fight. The only reason Saunders won was because he had more experience: 86 amateur fights to Eubanks 26. Plus, Saunders had a better game plan and corner men. Eubank's father is kind of dead weight in that regard.

All Eubank Jr. needs to be top shelf is a ton of sparring in the gym to make up for his lack of amateur background, and a good coach like Freddie Roach to make sure he makes the most of his abilities. Really, I don't understand why he didn't have all of this beforehand, except because his father started that way when he was 18. But if Eubank Jr. was going to go down the same road, then he should have started boxing when he was 6 like Floyd Mayweather Jr.

You can tell that Eubank Jr. has always been some kind of athlete, but not a boxer. He was probably big into soccer or basketball like Martinez when he was younger. A lot of guys take up boxing late these days when they can't go pro in their first sport for some reason: Cunningham, Wilder, Stiverne. Unfortunately, they still always look a little less polished than the guys with the big amateur backgrounds like Golovkin, Usyk, Rigondeaux, Lara, or Lomachenko. Come to think of it, I'd like to see Eubank Jr in against Korobov. That could be interesting.

I need to watch some Jacobs. Still haven't got around to him. That Quillin vs Lee match was disappointing since it was fairly even and neither guy would take risks letting their hands go. I expected Quillin to pick up a decision there on points since I think his technique is better and Lee just had some lucky shots which is making everyone overestimate his power punching. But a draw was the right way to go with that match.

Lemieux had moments when he was fighting N'Dam where he reminded me of Dempsey, but then he'd revert back to a clumsy plodder again. N'Dam and his conditioning really impressed me about their fight. In terms of skills, he and Lemieux were evenly matched. The difference was just the power which produced four knockdowns. I've never been really impressed by Lemieux. I don't think he's first rate. As soon as he finds someone who can move and jab who can take his power, he'll get shown up and look terrible.

Cotto is an enigma. I expected Martinez and Geale to walk right through him. Either he's the luckiest son of a ***** ever, a lot better than I give him credit for, or the division is a lot weaker than I thought.

Eubank Jr is a guy who can get up close to his opponent and go to work. I don't see him being top class while boxing at range.

Eubank Jr. has been getting plenty of top class sparring for ages. He's sparred the likes of Froch and Groves over in the UK, and he regularly travels over to the US for sparring in Floyd's gym. His dad has taken him over to Cuba to spar before too. Anyway, none of this matters because Golovkin would paddle his public schoolboy ass something rotten and anyone who thinks otherwise is clearly suffering from mind AIDS. William Joseph Saunders is a blown up LMW with cotton buds for fists. Eubank Jr. looked like a HW compared to him.
