Don't worry. The Joshua juggernaut continues whoever wins that.

I don't understand why I always see this guy listed as a great prospect.

    He's almost 30.
He's been pro for ~6 years now.
    He's fought absolutely no one.

    What am I missing?

Why does this guy make it on any list?

His career stalled out pretty badly for two years, but since late 2014 he's got it back on track in a big way he's racked up 6 wins in the last year and a half.

As far as his age goes, Pulev was 34 before he got a shot at Wlad, a lot of HW's are starting to hit their stride later and later now days. That's not that uncommon now days.

In his first 3 months after turning pro, Pulev fought two boxers who were 10x better than anyone Izu has fought in his 6 years of being pro.

I know Izu doesn't have to be Pulev-level great to be a good prospect, but Izu simply has had too little progress in too much time.

Teslenko looks like a seasoned pro already. I really like the look of him. He's 6'4'' but he looks a little taller to me. He only weighs about 214-217 so he'll probably fill out to around the 230lb mark as he matures.

Manukian represents Ukraine but he's Armenian by birth.

It'll be great if all or at least most of those amateur HWs and SHWs you've highlighted do join the pro ranks. :good

I get what you're saying, but in my opinion, he passes the eye test.

I was looking for a Ukrainian to do a thread on. And I saw Teslenko and I was  there was only 2 clips I could find of him, he's damn impressive for someone that young without a ton a amateur experience.

I have my fingers crossed, but I doubt all of them do, but I don't see why they wouldn't.

Nistor is the current APB HW Champ beating Medzhidov for the honor, holds a stoppage win over Joshua, beat up but got robbed versus Yoka and gave Usyk his toughest fight. Deserves to be in the top 10. I don't think Tishchenko would make a great pro, don't think he's a great amateur either.

Levit is god damn excellent and not really short for a CW at 6'2 nor is it a hindrance considering he beat Savon who is 6'4 / 6'5 and top 3 in the division with an abundance of skill and power.

I'm just not that big a fan of Nistor, it's a personal taste, he probably should be ranked higher, but personally I don't like his ugly mauling style, and I'm not sure how well it'll translate to the pros although he is doing pretty well in the longer APB matches, I really enjoyed his stoppage of Pfeifer, but for some reason I've never been able to fully appreciate him.:conf Sorry.

Personally I don't think Levit height is a problem and I was going to place him higher, I really enjoy his style and think he'd make a great pro, but most of the people on this site happen to think 6'2 is tiny for a HW. However I don't.

I'm not too thrilled with how I ranked the amateurs either I'm probably going to change a few of them around, but I'm also considering what they'll be like as pros and judging them with that criteria, I think Tishchenko will be a good pro, and Nistor not so much, I think Tishchenko has plenty of room for improvement, but since he's fairly young there's plenty of time for it.

Apparently Teslenko won 224 of his 247 amateur fights. Only thing I don't like about him is that long neck.

I'd love to see Medzhidov, Savon, and Hrgovic turn over soon.

The way Levit handled Savon was highly impressive even if the judges inexplicably decided to score it Savon's way. And like I said I felt Levit also deserved the nod against Manukian so he's had a bit of bad luck with decisions going against him as too has Savon.

Levit throwing triple lefthooks to the body lol

It's strange how you have Omarov as the 3rd best Amateur prospect,he's completely off form and is only the 3rd Best Russian Super Heavyweight! Maxim Babanin and Gasan Gimbatov are both ahead of him now and both have beaten him recently. Omarov used to be very good.. I don't know what happened but he's been losing regularly since the 2012 olympics.

I mainly did the list based on how I think they'll do as pros, and I think he'll do well for some reason, granted he's been on the downswing recently, but I still have faith in him.

Kuzmin is turning out to be a little bit of a bore, never liked him all that much to be honest, Dinu has yet to impress me either, Pavel Doroshilov I have little faith since he couldn't stop Danny Williams and that's not a good sign.

i think cst have omarov 3rd because he has huge upside, maybe more than any other heavyweight on the list. omarov at he's best looks like a 6'6 monster with power hand speed who throws combos
