"I don't have the urge to make more money than I have ever made because my love for money is a bull**** excuse for avoiding less popular, legit threats. You can quote my past sayings but I shall change them to fit my situation"

Ill translate it. When he says 'I dont have the urge' its really him saying:

"Im going to say this because this will keep me on my haters mind and keep them starting threads about me even though there are other boxing matches going on, thus truly making me the face of ESB. All threads lead to Mayweather"

Oh, my personal translation of it was "I'm bitching out of the big fights like usual"

I honestly think he has "lost the urge". Some time around five years ago, Floyd came to the conclusion that he doesn't actually like boxing. He's damned good at it, but I get the impression that he really doesn't like it as a day job.

That's why he chose to fight Baldomir (risk vs. financial reward); that's why he's always on about money; it's why you got the whole, "Duh; I'm a prize-fighter" bit from the last 24/7, because he honestly doesn't give a **** about legacy; it's about how much dough he can get from a minimum of effort (and protecting the zero / exclusivity feeds into that).

He'll fight again, but only when his desire / need for more cash outweighs his lack of taste for fighting.

You can't really admire it, but you can understand it.

he's damn good at it, but not the best. He should just accept that.

Nothing to understand, he is not a great fighter at all. He has cherry picked popular fighters as much as he has weak champs to enhance his popularly. Floyd is the best cherry picker the sport has ever seen. No doubt about it.
