Two prominent negotiations have included this concept (Fury vs AJ and Crawford vs Spence), and Crawford vs Spence seems to have broken down over it.

I believe what they mean is that both sides will be shown all income and expenses related to promoting and holding the fight (PPV sales, expenses related to the venue, etc).

On the face it seems reasonable enough, how can you really trust the a promoter you have close to zero relationship with to pay you out correctly without transparency? On the other hand, in my limited business experience, the request to more or less open your books and reveal third party agreements is done only in extraordinary circumstances. Especially in this case, where the opposing fighter is also a potential business rival, showing exactly what you pay your vendors and are getting paid by clients is a risk.

What do you think? If you've been involved in the business of boxing, is transparency normal or is this a major ask? Is it a new thing or has it always been a sticking point.
