His chin is not bad really. Arreola and Quezada caught him clean (against Arreola Walker was beating him up...then he got cocky). The other stoppages on Walker's record were more hometown cookin then legit.
That ref was disgraceful for just watching that punishment and not stopping it before the towel got thrown.
The Freight Train was a great hopeful until he couldn't take what he delivered on Arreola. Can someone learn how to eat shots and clear his head after that shocking KO?
:scaredas: Man, he may be wild but Walker can bomb. That quadruple overhand right about forty seconds in was just bananas. ...and the combo afterward that brought on the towel (which was basically the same thing with some big left hooks mixed in) - :bananamaniac
Walker looked great, all this talk bout a glass chin.... Noticed he lifts his head every ti e he throws a right, leaves him self open big time
That was supposed to be Oliver McCall's fight. McCall was the original opponent, but the Australians are Nazis with respect to prior criminal records of boxers. You guys will recall that years ago Ollie did a year for disorderly conduct (swinging the Christmas tree in a hotel lobby). Anyway, I was 100% certain that Oliver would have KO'd Meehan. Meehan's legs are gone, and he cannot get away from physically strong guys with heavy punches who force their way inside.
Last time I saw a ref THIS blind was when Duran almost killed Davy Moore and Emile Griffith did the same **** to Benny Kid Paret.
For a guy with as much experience as Walker has, he looked like ****, finishing a defenseless Meehan. He seemed to be punching with his eyes closed and missing by a foot.
