    Disgraceful lack of a stoppage

Pretty strong case for stopping it long before he got to the corner.

I don't think he looked great at all. At least he is not fat and his punches were fairly quick, but he was pretty wild and telegraphed his shots a great deal. The power is not that impressive either, as although the punches looked pretty heavy that fact that Meehan took so many suggests he is not hitting that hard, especially if you compare what Danny Williams did to Meehan years back.

And as you said he is wide open to counters too.

Danny Boy is one of the more underrated power punchers of recent times.

He also knocked a guy out with a glancing left hook whilst doubled over in agony from a dislocated right shoulder.

It lookes as though the ref was watching the beating in the corner but he was actually closely examining a nice pair of tittays ringside so you can't blame him for not stopping the fight.

That is why I didn't think it was the worst stopage I've have ever seen. Walker can get wild in a frenzy to finish and get caught. The corner did the right thing by throwin in the towel.

This is true, I've never seen Walker throw this many punches, I was expecting him to punch himself out. Haven't seen the whole fight, he must have been conserving energy early. He seems to have gotten smarter lately, I could see him causing a few upsets along the way. If not, at least he likely won't be in boring fights, it takes special talent to to make a boring fight with Travis (Chagaev, Banks minus the hilarious KO).

Hope we see him on US TV more, he's carving out a nice little niche down under.

    rubbish!!!!!

those punches were flush bombs with plenty behind them.

the danny williams knock downs caught him off guard in the first 10 seconds and were probably the 2 best punches williams has ever thrown.

watch meehan vs rahman last round. rahman landed 60 plus power shots on kali, and he still didn't drop, his corner stopped the fight. i doubt u have seen anyone else take that and was still standing.

it only took one to put lennox lewis in la la land.

    His fights are always exciting.

  15. Steve Smoger would have stopped that before the towel was thrown in.
