Keep hearing these rumors that he put down Vitali in sparring. To his credit, he has a win over fellow up-and-comer Jason Estrada. He has a bad defeat where he got caught napping, but apparently avenged it pretty brutally.

Is this guy a future contender? Champion? Or journeyman?

hes defeat was due referee stoping action too soon. That being said he is a gatekeeper at best

jason hurt his shoulder i belive in the 2nd and if you ever watch jason fight you know his jab is a big part of his game and still went the distance i think he should give him a rematch but i don't see travis doing that any time soon!

Estrada came in well over weight at 257lbs for that one and most likely would have outpointed Walker if he had been 239lbs as he has been since.

He's improving... He does tire late.... He might be a contender... Like a Jameel McCline type contender...

Yeah I think GateKeeper is an appropriate term for Travis Walker

He'll never be a top fighter but boxing needs guys like him. Gatekeepers who can at the very least, give the fans exciting fights. No sarcasm here. I like watching his fights.

Too slow, not strong enough despite his appearance, and just doesn't look like he'll ever have great technique. I'm with Cruiser here - gatekeeper, but one who can keep showing up on TV.

overweight yeah but even with that weight on he was still fast as hell with his hands and without that injury walker would of lost even in his home town. walker will be a fighter to watch but thats about it just some good fights to watch no championships that i can see in his future
