Tremendous Respect for Jason Sosa

I saw an interview with him pre-fight. He seemed like a good guy. He said Loma was no. 1 p4p and laughed about it. Of course, tapping gloves so much with Loma meant we weren't going to see Roberto Duran in there. But let's not forget he had some success in there. I wouldn't be surprised if this experience made him a better fighter.

 

Lomachenko would knock Rigo out, total mismatch. Lomachenko almost knocked Salido and will knock him out in a rematch. Salido will want Lawrence Cole as the referee so he can land blow blows, hit after the bell, headbutt, hit behind the head, Cole is a disgrace and should never be allowed to referee a fight ever again......

 

Anyone can literally pull up boxrec, look at dates and their previous fight, and realize that isn't the case for Walters.

You forget he blew weight against Marriaga and was stripped of his title. Lomachenko wasn't competing at super featherweight yet when Walters had his first fight there, against Jason Sosa. They fought in what was Walters' very next bout... There was talk of negotiations and "ducking" by Walters during the time period in between fighting Sosa and fighting Lomachenko, however in that 10-12 month span, Walters didn't fight anybody.

Everybody acting like they're in on the negotiations of big time title fights and know the terms being discussed. You just hear talk and rumors and choose what you think to be true. Walters wasn't the only camp who has claimed Lomachenko's team difficult to work with. Take that for what it is, but there are two sides and two angles to every story. Lomachenko is higher risk than most fighters and brings in more money than most fighters. Therefore, his opponents want a higher reward. No different than any other risk/reward management, which is all boxing economics is about.

 

I'm actually one of the most ganster people you'll ever know in your life. But Sosa took one hell of a beating.
