Trevor Berbick v Gerrie Coetzee

For some reason I like Berbick by decision but it could just as easily go the other way. Two very tough guys who liked to brawl and met Some of the same opponents

I find it very difficult to give coetzee a winner in supposed fights

 

Trevor by points or late KO. Gerrie never inspires confidence against durable, strong opponents.

 

I like Coetzee by stoppage.

 

Gerrie by KO. he could hit and berbick was easy to hit and yampie enough to get into a fire fight .

 

I can see Coetzee getting messed around by Berbick for a while. Then Gerrie striking through and having Berbick on bandy legs.Trevor would get overly confident and this would lead to him getting stopped.

 

I can imagine Coetzee landing early here, in the first couple of rounds, rather like he did against Mike Weaver. I can see Trevor's discipline going out of the window and him digging in and winging back at Coetzee. Not sensible. Coetzee inside 5.

 

Gerrie by 9th round TKO in a good fight.

 

i like Coetzee in this one. At his best was simply more talented with a greater skillset than Berbick
