Trevor was a very rough Handful. Tyson knocking him out was a very rare thing. Douglas couldn’t do it. Nor Holmes, Page, snipes even as a 42 year old has been Hassim Rahman could not Knock tough Trevor out. But prime Schmeling was too good.
Trevor was a big strong guy durable and a total nutter .Schmeling would outbox him and had enough power to keep Berbick off him.
I don't see either guy stopping the other. Max the More skilled here ,so I see him getting a decision win .
I"m just not that sold on Schmeling .. it's the way he got beat up by Max Baer .. He could not deal with the size or the strength .. Berbick was much bigger , much stronger, threw a lot of punches , certainly had some power .. I never saw Max engage on that sort of fight and win .. Berbick gave a prime Holmes a very respectable fight, beat up Greg Page when Page was the next great thing, beat a damn good and big Pinklon Thomas and I'd say Thomas and Page hit harder than Schmeling at heavyweight .. that's if he was on .. he was also a headache that could stink up a place ..
I think that the people is ignoring the difference of natural size /weight here and schmeling was not robinson neither in skill terms.this fight is close
