Seldom see any Berbick fantasy fights but he was right in the thick of the 80's lost heavies and had plenty of success at times along with the lulls.

Could see Weaver outboxing Berbick for a ud, or late stoppage. Coetzee wins by a ud, and prime Witherspoon by late stoppage. Dokes by close decision, as he had the quickness, but not the power to fully keep Trevor off him.

The weird part about this is that Berbick beat Thomas who had just beaten Witherspoon.

I think Berbick - Witherspoon would have the potential to be a very entertaining fight. Can't see Witherspoon being any chance at all of a stoppage when Berbick went 15 with Holmes and was not stopped by the likes of Page, Thomas, Snipes and Douglas. He was even going the distance with the likes of Thunder and Rahman at 40 odd. 60 odd fights with just a stoppage loss to Tyson and Mercada as a fledgling.

I'd maybe narrowly favor Tim but Berbick might also outwork him at his best.
I think he'd be a good chance of outpointing the one dimensional Coetzee but he'd have to watch that right hand.
I think peak Weaver might outpoint him narrowly. Maybe an outside chance of a late stoppage over 15 as he could come on late and retained his power all the way to the end.
I think Dokes wins most of the first half and Berbick most of the second. Fergy's draw might not be that far off.

He would beat coked up Dokes; could possibly beat Coetzee and Weaver. Tim would handle him.

A fit and non-coked up until the Weaver fight Dokes would beat him but post '82 that version of Dokes didn't exist.

But, Thomas looked horrible. He seemed to age overnight after beating Weaver.

Berbick's a tricky one to predict.
No one expected him to beat John Tate, Greg Page and Pinklon Thomas.
And I'm pretty sure no one expected him to lose to S.T.Gordon !

    Right. Probably a motivation issue.

Berbick was ba11zy to wear all black when he mocked Tyson.

He would've been game for anyone at his best. Tough, durable and talked smack whenever he wanted.

It's tough with all the see-saw results in the 80's heavyweight scene. Any one of those guys listed could beat each other on any given night.
