Berbick -Awkward , strong, relentless , known for his stamina and toughness.

Ruddock -Explosive puncher , famous for his 'smash ', devastating left hook /uppercut.

    12 rounds.

I'm going with Ruddock by 6 rnd tko

Ruddock lands that smash straight through the middle of Berbick’s earmuff like guard.

This isn't a match in Berbick's wheelhouse, if you hit him hard enough he would lose.

    Ruddock takes it.

Berbick is vulnerable early (Lko 1 Mercado, Lko 2 Tyson, Lko 1 via drop kick in Holmes-Berbick II, dropeed in the 1st vs Renaldo Snipes) so wouldn´t be surprised if Ruddock drops him early.

Berbick is awkward and strong and if he can survive the early rounds he could make it interesting and take into the last 2 rounds.

I think Razor´s early round pounding would prove too much for Trevor for a 11 round stoppage.

For all Ruddock's power, I don't think he had the delivery system to stop Berbick who was very solid, strong and awkward.
    Ruddick UD 12.

I didn’t have time to comment this morning so I abruptly selected Berbick on the polls. The one caveat is IF he’s not taken out by a surprise smash left. But Berbick was fairly durable and unlike Ruddock beat quality fighters when they were actually prime. Sometimes he got complacent however as he did dropping losses to men like Snipes and Gordon. If he’s well trained and focused he might battle Ruddock to a decision. This would be a very competitive and crowd entertaining fight.

Ruddock looks better in highlight reels than over the course of an actual fight. I think Berbick would weather any storms and gut out a decision but I wouldn't lay a dime on it unless the public threw the odds way in the other direction.

Ruddock all the way. Although he might win by KO, he doesn't really need to do so. Ruddock was also a better boxer than Berbick.

Ruddock early or not at all. I have the feeling that Trev would brawl his way to at points victory.

I'm surprised that so many comfortably pick Ruddock. Let's take a look at their best wins:

    Berbick:
    Prime Thomas
    Prime Page
    Close to prime Tate
    Shell of Ali

    Ruddock:
    Past prime Weaver
    Past prime Smith
    Past prime and fat Dokes
    Shot Page

I'd say Berbick's list of best wins is clearly better. He beat two prime undefeated top-5 HWs in Thomas (WBC beltholder) and Page, as well as Tate who was a beltholder just few months before.

I don't know if I would pick Ruddock to beat prime Thomas and Page, as Ruddock had some problems with shot version of Page many years later. Whereas Berbick beat both without any controversy.
