Correct me if I'm wrong, but the WBA is still trying to clean house and get rid of the superfluous championship belts, right? So that means the winner of this could potentially become a mandatory and be in line to fight Usyk? Or would he have to fight Helenius/whoever first? I'm still a little confused about who's their mandatory at the moment. Seems like their belt elimination initiative would put the regular champ first in line, but if I'm remembering right they said that Helenius would be next in line after he beat Kownacki.

I'm gonna be pulling for Dubois to win this one. I've never seen a Bryan match, but his resume looks and sounds incredibly boring and I've heard nothing but bad things in that same vein about his career. Plus it seems like Dubois would be an interesting match up to Usyk, or Helenius, or AJ, or Fury, or whoever the hell he'd be fighting after this.

When is Oquendo getting his shot? Wasn't he supposed to fight for this title still or did Free lose a court case or something? I feel like this WBA regular Heavyweight title mess just gets bigger by the year, now Dubouis is a part of it, I'm sure somehow if he wins he will be mandated to fight Stiverne for reasons only the WBA will pretend to understand

And don't forget about Charr .... the champion in recess who 'recently' dispatched the unbeaten Lovejoy. No doubt there are others we haven't even heard of who some some claim on it due to some reasons we don't even know about.

Absolutely, I'm sure Lovejoy will somehow figure back into this as well, the spiderweb is long and all catching.
