we always glorify every star boxer out there except for the journeymen and trial horses... who's your favorite fighter out there that is always set up to lose but gives his opponents hell before going out..... i like watching EMANUEL AUGUSTUS and YORYBOY CAMPAS
you guys gotta see Tim Bowe. This guys great. He talks a ton of ****, tries to be entertaining, despite usually getting his ass whooped in the process. It looks like he hasnt fought since 05... another is Zack Page...this guy will fight ANYONE, ANYWHERE, ANYTIME, is a cruiserweight, fights heavyweights, and fights well. He beat Del Valle, Jeremy Bates, and barely lost to Dominick Guinn and Mike Marrone despite coming in with no time to prepare and being a cruiser. He fights in the bummiest gear but is always in good shape
Marion Wilson. He's not a great fighter, he's rather small for a HW - but if he had a "name" people would say he's has the best chin of ALL TIME. He's shared the ring with just about every top HW you could name, and he's NEVER once been stopped. I don't think he's ever even been knocked down. Now that's GRANITE, people. :yep
I was very impressed with Sam Hill in watching him be the first to TKO and retire David Reid. Too bad he fell off the map after a Taylor loss.
Eman Augustus, of course. Although I like Yory Boy, I don't like seeing him fight because he takes too much punishment.
Reggie Strickland. The definition of trial horse. Hundreds of pro fights, mostly 4-6 rounders, mostly losses. But he was always in shape, knew how to protect himself from serious damage and pick up a paycheck while giving up and comers some experience against a tricky guy. Unlike journeymen, Reggie seldom, if ever, made a serious effort to win a big fight against a dangerous opponent. But he occasionally would take a guy to school if the newbie got careless. Strickland was more like a traveling sparring partner who got paid and got to appear on TV occasionally. I kinda wish ESPN Classic would do a half hour show of just his fights. It'd be an interesting documentary of a certain slice of the boxing life.
