    This is really saddening when you think about what state of mind he must've been in at the time of his demise. Truly heart-breaking stuff for such a high class gentleman, in and out of the ring, to feel he had no other option. R.I.P champ, you'll be missed.

    Obviously one of the best of ALL-TIME

    My 2nd favorite fighter of ALL-TIME after Ray Leonard:-(
    Actually got a little emotional hearing the news this morning.

    His precise punching and his technique is the best I've ever seen.:bowdown

    RIP, champ. One of my favorite fighters of all time and someone every real boxing fan should know about and respect.

    I'm still not sold at all that this was a suicide. Arguello was active in politics, and there were rumblings that his winning a close election for mayor in Nicaragua's capital last fall was rigged- even though he was beloved by most, that kind of thing can create enemies who wouldn't think twice of killing you and making it look like you did the deed yourself.

    Excellent vid`s & very nice tributes to mr perfection himself, Alexis Arguello, one of my fav fighters of all time.
    To think I did a Hagler/Arguello thread only a day or 2 ago... I believe Alexis got more votes, just shows what people thought of him even before his untimely death, he will be terribly missed by EVERYONE involved or who knows jack about this sport.
