This may start a decent debate, but in my view, Hopkins could quite possibly be the greatest fighter of his generation. Wihtout question, a solid case can be made for that assessment. Its amazing to think Hopkins is fast approaching his 44th birthday. Quite incredible really.

Hopkins is not the most dedicated boxer I've come across, he's the most dedicated sportsman I've seen. His discipline, professionalism towards clean living, training & keeping healthy is unmatched.

Pavlik is no bum. All the idioits now saying Pavlik was overrated, over-hyped in the first place & probably the same people who picked Pavlik to defeat Hopkins. Now its time for you to eat humble pie & salute Bernard.

B-Hop showed class after the bout by the way he encouraged Pavlik to come back from the loss, go back to MW & dominant the division. Nice touch right there by Bernard.

Hopkins' dedication would permit him to box until he's 50, I really think he could do that, but he has said himself that will not happen. Hopkins should push for the winner of Calzaghe-Jones & then hang up the gloves. After yesterday's performance, I doubt Calzaghe or Jones want any part of Hopkins.

It has been a privilege to follow your career, Bernard. You represent hard work, dedication a desire to achieve. If you were to retire tomorrow, then rest assured, your place among boxing greatness is highly secure indeed.

B-Hop is a rare breed & all those who don't appreciate him now will probably start to when he's retired. It will be too late then. Master technician if ever there was one!

I think it could be argued that he is the greatest of the post Whitaker/Chavez Era, but I still go with Jones, even though I'm a bigger fan of B-Hop.
