RJJ was probably one of (if not thee) most gifted boxers in at least the last half century. He made boxing look easy. In his prime he made future HOFers look like bumbling amateurs.

For sure RJJ will be remembered properly in 20 years. RJJ will be remembered properly in 100 years. No doubt about that.

Good luck in the future KG. Easily one of the best posters on this site. Shame to see you go so soon after Brooklyn.

I'm still researching.. you give me names I haven't studied. I'll do it after Pac beat DLH. Make my life easy.

    For the meantime read this:

Look at the comparison!!! Pac is the Greatest of this Generation. I'm sorry.. It's not RJJ!!!:hey

They compared Pacquiao's performance to SRR's performances. They didn't compare his legacy to SRR's or him as a fighter.

Also, and this is simple really, just being compared to SRR doesn't suddenly make you the best fighter of the generation. It's just that, a comparison.

A fighter during a strong reign will always be compared with Robinson because he is the standard. That comparison alone can't and doesn't make you the best fighter in your generation. If it does, then we have a problem since the comparison has been made about multiple fighters in each generation.

Jones > Pacquiao in nearly every way possible.

    Hey kg.

People are gonna miss you here.

Drop by once in while if you can.

Btw, off topic, in a couple of hours, up and coming prospect AJ Banal's gonna fight for the interim WBA superfly title, versus Panamanian Rafael "El Torito" Concepcion. Maybe you wanna see that too as an appetizer for the Cotto-Margo fight.

The kid's usually in good, entertaining fights. I'll try to post youtube vids later if I can.

I like Banal from the 2 fights I've seen. Not as good as Donaire IMO, but still good. Nice to see the Phillipines start to compete worldwide. Many of the other Asian nations tend to fight amongst themselves. The rivalry with Mexico can only be helpful to the sport.

In the highlight clips, Jones looks damn good, But when you actually seen the full fights, Jones bores me to death.

I was just wondering if anyone knows who RJJ lost against in the amateurs and was it close each time out ?
