Lol Ibeabuchi is severely overrated here. He had a questionable win against Tua. He did beat Byrd which is a good win but other than that… WHO did he beat??

BTW there are a lot of people who believe Tua won that fight.

 

I knew Ike from the day he walked into Curtis Cokes gym in Dallas Texas claiming "I'm going to be World Champion do you want to be part of it" ? Curtis said " Lets see what you've got & we'll see" lol
I saw him practically on a weekly basis the whole time he trained in Curtis's Home of Champions gym & never saw him use any PED s of any kind. . What he claimed would I believe have come true if he'd had the help he needed but no one cared but Curtis They just saw the $$$$$$$$$$$ they could make with him

 

Its amazing what some guys will believe. They've never met the guy involved. probably never seen him fight either but claim to know it all. Probably weren't even born back then either lol

This is not much about who won the Tua - Ibeabuchi fight (fairly tight fight) more than the proof delivered by Ibeabuchi that he can stand toe to toe with a murderous puncher for 12 rounds and win a decision. His KO victory over Byrd also proved he belongs to the elite. Byrd became an heavyweight champion. The proof is in the pudding as they say. Ibeabuchi is a beast by test.

 

He was the same height and build as Derek Chisora, probably not big enough for the modern giant era. His most notable wins were against the 5'9 Tua and 6' Byrd.

 

Ike is same height has Holyfield but much bigger and stronger. Ike qualifies as a big heavyweight at 235 pounds against Tua and 245 against Byrd. He would not be intimidated by the 6'5 and 6'6 heavyweight, at all.

*Also Chisora reach is 74 compared to 77 for Ibeabuchi.

** Ibeabuchi is a wasted talent no doubt but let's not pretend he did not provide objective measure about his potential before he went to jail. We all know he is a top fighter. In comparison and according to the vast majority here, fat beluga Andy Ruiz would get killed by Tua. And he is expected to fight against Wilder.
