    Different style and way more accomplished. Cooper was more of a brawler and Ike a skilled boxer Puncher with great ring generalship and old school skills.

    Exactly. Ibeabuchi is absurdly overrated. He had two victories over live bodies, and one of those against Tua is debatable.

    Yes he KOd blown up super-middle Chris Byrd, but the rest of his record is, well, filled with the kind of fighters Bert Cooper beat.

    Sometimes another guy imposes their game plan on you and you cannot do anything about it. It’s called ring generalship. Ike was a bad man like Sonny Liston.

    It's nice to see that there are others who get how ridiculously overrated this guy is. Off of two fights against live bodies!!!

    And people compare him to Sonny Liston?? Based on what? Crushing a bunch of cans? Come on!!

    Bert Cooper is a far better comparison, although I'd argue that Smokin' Bert actually accomplished more in this sport than that the grossly overrated mirage that is Ike Ibeabuchi.

    They suspected it was a probable suicide attempt, like people accuse him of raping that hooker she wasn't even touched. She showed how dumb she was when she claimed she only came to his hotel room to DANCE for him lol. That boy idolized Ike no way Ike would have intentionally tried to hurt him I'm sure
    Ike needed help not imprisonment for years

    With all due respect Prof I knew Ike from the day he walked in to Curtis Cokes gym fresh here from Nigeria for the whole time he trained with Curtis. After being here but a few months he wanted to enter the Golden gloves.
    He walked through the Fort Worth GG's then the Texas state championship & went to the finals. He lost to the guy that won the nationals by a close dec. Curtis said the only mistake he made was not Ko ing his opponent.he was never going to get a dec on the favoured fighter
    When his name came up to fight David Tua I forecast he would beat Tua on a forum & was ridiculed . One guy thought he was Japanese because his name was Ibeabuchi. No one had heard of him. After the fight my phone started ringing with " Where have you been hiding him he's awesome" & quite a few apologies lol
    The Byrd fight was a classic that hook Ike threw nearly decapitated poor Chris Byrd. Whe they interviewed Chris after the fight he said I wasnt knocked out I wasn't even knocked down. Then they showed him the replay He said " Aww **** " lol
    I firmly believe had he had the help he needed to hold it together he would indeed have been the successor to Lennox Lewis as Undisputed Heavyweight Champ

    Suicide due to a mental health issue is primarily a personal act, harm to innocent others and certainly loved ones is generally avoided at all costs.

    Ike would never have deliberately hurt that boy they were practically inseparable . It never ceases to amaze me the claims you people make about someone you've never met & know nothing about. If Ike wanted to commit suicide he'd not drive his car into a concrete pillar taking that boy with him
