So I just read the dumbest thread about Tito being overrated & I figured it would be a good time to post this since there arguably the 2 most dominant welterweights in recent years!!!

Shane.....straight punches in plenty of bunches

Tito - no chance in the world getting off first needs to get lucky. Even getting lucky Shanes BEARD too good.

Excellent fight and exciting...at 147 i dont think shane could have hurt tito..tito was strong at 47..his undefeated record after fighting alot of top contenders ..i think this one is a draw though at 6 rounds each...

Mosley is a good welterweight but he isn't a dominant welter and hasn't ruled the welterweight division or anything like people keep claiming he has.

He has one top notch win at welterweight and that is DLH in 03. He fought Winky, Vargas and Mayorga at middle weight. He fought DLH the 2nd time on steroids at middle weight. He fought Cruz, Estrada, Wise at a catch weight of 148 which above welter but you could count it as welter since its only one pound. He beat an overrated fighter in Margarito who was caught cheating directly before the fight, a B level fighter in Collazo. Lost to Cotto lost to Vernon Forrest who is ONLY known for beating Mosley and nothing else. Beat a bunch of other inferior fighters at welter.

So if you break down his true welterweight fights its Margarito W, Cotto L, Forrest x2 L x2, Collazo W, Stone W, Taylor W, Diaz W, DLH W, Rivera W for a record of 7-3. Or if you add his catch weights at 148 his record would be 10-3. With 9 of his 10 wins verse C-B level fighters.

    Who wins? The fans. :happy

I got Tito by KO. I stick to my theory that nobody smaller than him would ever beat him.

I disagree. Even though Trinidad was at Welter longer I think he was more comfortable at Jm which i thought he grew into well,I think he was more impressive against Reid and Vargas than he was even at Welter. Where as I think Mosley is much better at Welter were he is much faster and hits harder. In fact I think Mosley would stop Trinidad at welter 9th round Tko. At Junior Middle its a hard one but I might go with Trinidad.

You Mosley nuthuggers are crazy!!!! Trinidad would have knocked Mosley out early. Did any of you really remember Tito? Mosley likes to engage and he would been knocked out with the straight or the left hook.
My God; if Mosley would have never fought Winky or Vernon, you same guys would have said that he would knock them out too. Mosley's downfall in this fight is that he likes to engage and with Trinidad he would have been knocked out. Felix also had fast hands but they were used to knock people out, not looking for decision wins. I think a prime David Reid would have been too much for Mosley... Mosley couldn't knock out a C-level fighter in Adrian Stone so what makes you think he would win against Tito, especially a knockout? and for the record I am not a puerto rican. Just an astute American boxing fanatic who used to box myself.

I call it for Trinidad. Mosley at welter (first time around) was so into his own ability to blow out opposition he'd go in and trade with Trinidad, no doubt about that at all. He would get hit with the first big right hand Trinidad threw early in the fight as with Forrest. Imo Trinidad's right hand was the dangerous hand not the left hook as is often made out. I truly believe Trinidad ko's Mosley.

The people that beat Trinidad fought a safety first fight, it says a lot that an aggressive fighter like DLH went safety first as well. I really don't see a younger Mosley being that careful.
