I don't think Trinidad is better than any boxer out of Mexico in general, but better than any welterweight, Jr. Middleweight, and Middleweight that Mexico has ever produced yes!

Problem is that Mexicans and Mex Americans speak without facts and nationalistic fervor. I often find it interesting how Mexicans born in the U.S.A talk of Puerto Rican politics or its status. Last time I checked one of your parents abandoned Mexico, and broke the U.S. immigration laws then circumvented the U.S. immigration policies by using the 14th Amendment to gain a citizenship. Sorry, Puerto Ricans have been U.S. Citizens since 1917, and since 1902 could travel in the U.S. freely. So for the descendants of those who gamed a system to become citizens I find it kind of weak to speak of Puerto Rico.

So , maybe this guy went out and said that comment but he is right , if you look at the divisions Trinidad fought in ... WBC needed to rob Martinez of his legit title to get it's first middleweight champion in Chavez Jr....
