Trinidad of 2008

Trinidad was in shape for this fight there is no doubt in my mind infact that was the best Trinidad we have seen since his win over Cherifi and even basicly since hopkins you could say either Trinidad was finished, or he just didnt have his heart in the sport anymore, However Roy Jones Jr seemed to wake him up a bit and other than the knock downs I thought Tito did well IMO there is no way the fight should have gone the distance, some say becuase Roy dont want to hurt people becuase of what happend to McClellon others say its becuase Jones is washed up, I say its becuase Tito is that good.

 

I could never follow that logic. After Jones - Hall it was the first time i heard Jones does not want to hurt people cause of McClellon. And it was one of the most stupid things i have ever heard, cause he phucked Hall over 11 rounds, which caused much more damage than if he just would have decided to follow up and finnish the poor guy. Beside that, Jones did ko a lot of guys. Maybe it was accidental

 

I agree for the most part. Trinidad is still a very good fighter.

 

Yeah. Not sure who he would fight at the higher weights. Papa claimed Tito could not get down to face Pavlik for a title shot at 160.

 

He wasn't out of shape but that weight, it's too big for him... I wish we could all talk him thru so he can train and come down to 154 and destroy someone like Margarito!!

Not that I hate Margo cause he is a great fighter but that will make one hell of a fight and I honestly think that at 154 Tito today can take Margo.

 

If Tito would had stayed at 154lbs, he would had retired undeafeated....:good RJJ was just too big for Tito anyways.
