I was talking about this the other day with a friend of mine and it's a big argument sometimes here on the island. There's no doubt that Wilfredo Gomez is the more complete fighter but in terms of Greatness and all time P4P status who do you think is the top guy?

    Here are some facts:

    Felix "Tito" Trinidad

World champion in 3 weight classes
Became IBF world champ at the age of 20
Made 14 successful defenses in a 6 year span at 147 lb
    21-1 in world tittle fights
Notable wins: Mayorga, De la hoya, Vargas, Reid, Carr, Campas, Whitaker, Camacho
    Notable losses: Hopkins, Wright, RJJ

    Wilfredo "Bazooka" Gomez
World champion in 3 weight classes
Became WBC world champ at the age of 21
32 fights won by KO in a row (Crazy ****), in a 5 year span at 122 lb
17 world title successful defenses all of them won by KO
Notable wins: Zarate, Pintor, La porte, Lockridge
    Notable losses: Sanchez, Nelson

Its Gomez for me...He is one of the best fighters I have ever laid my eyes on when in their prime..amazing boxing talent.

Tito's career may be superior for depth though.

I find it hard to split'em personally bro. I like them both so much. But for the sake of making a pick, Im gonna say Gomez. Tito has arguably the better resume, granted he got his sox boxed off by Oscar, and his only real losses were when he moved up to 160 and higher, and stopped giving a **** realy.

Gomez was a monster at 120 and his skills were undoubtably better than titos. Close but Gomez takes it in my book.

Gomez, he holds the honour of consensus best ever at 122, Tito doesnt or even come close for any of his weights (147,154,160), well his name might pop up for 154 but he will never win a vote for the weight or even take 2nd place IMO

I think Benitez has got to be in the mix too, for sure, great boxer, youngest ever champion in any division at 17 & also a 3 weight world champ.

Gomez..... Unfortunately it was a different era and Gomez didn't have the kind of people Tito had around him. Gomez was finish by his decisions and lifestyle, if you know what I mean. Gomez could have done a lot more if it wasn't for that. By the time he lost to Sanchez he was already in a destruction pathway. Not taking anything away from Sanchez either, the man was a monster too.

gomez by a mile...he is more competitive against sanchez than tito was when he fought hopkins

not to mention being a KO artist at 122...
