    He went:

    Whitaker*
    Pineda
    De La Hoya*
    Reid*
    Thiam
    Vargas*
    Joppy*
    Hopkins*
    Cherifi
    Mayorga*
    Wright*

Floyd would've avoided the kind of risks Trinidad took. This "ride" Floyd is taking us for doesn't compare to what Tito did.

thats pretty obvious, but floyd is campaigning at the equivalent of titos middleweight and super middle exploits. not much to compare.

Floyd is great, his position as undefeated and top p4p add a few extra points of mystery....best ever? beatable?

These stir the emotions and questions of the fans.

Ultimately, his achievements are quite comparable to a few other greats of our time.

Floyd started at 130. That's where he's truly mentioned as one of the best ever at that weight.

Lots of fighters took us for a better ride than Floyd has. I am much more critical of Floyd from 2007-on as opposed to before then. Mayweather became a big draw after the DLH fight, giving him more negotiating leverage. Naturally, more guys will want to fight you if they can make more money and get more exposure. Floyd's been inactive, done too much cherry-picking, and absolutely embarrassed boxing in not fighting Pacquiao (although he is not alone in this, Arum/Manny deserve blame too).

Don King wasted some of Trinidad's prime. From 1995-98, Tito was facing weak opposition, and even tried to sue King to get out of the contract to get bigger fights.

To his credit, Trinidad really stepped it up from 1999-2001.

    first ballot hof'er.

to floyds credit...he was blazing a trail in '98 that was impressive. when everyone looks back on his career...he'll get more respect. this whole pac/floyd thing is bad for boxing and there's been a lot of bull**** surrounding it on both sides.

No comparison. Tito was a much more enjoyable fighter to watch.

Thing about Felix Trinidad is that I personally felt that he was a sellout. He was a good enough fighter sure but he was never going to beat Bernard Hopkins. By going up to middleweight and fighting Hopkins I feel that he sold himself and his fans out and for what???? Some $$$ or to "go on a ride"?
