How did De La Hoya "school" Tito? By landing pitty pat shots for 5 rounds, and running for the rest of the night? Oscar's best punch in that fight was a thumb to Tito's eye. "I felt Tito's power and did NOT want to feel it again..." There is a video of Tito calling oscar "chicken" and hounding him for a rematch. Oscar wanted NONE of it.

Vargas? The hyped up steroid cheat? Come on man... Naseem is on record saying Tito's wraps were LEGIT. The world knew Vargas was NEVER going to be on Tito's level 10 seconds into the 1st round. Vargas fell like a child with the first left hook. Do you REALLY wanna act like Vargas was EVER on Tito's level?

Dudes are haters as if hating on a Puerto Rican, is the secret to a better life.

    Dusty peasants.

Trinidad cheated hitting Vargas low. Vargas was on his level but that's not saying a lot

Trinidad didn't land a thing on Delahoya yet Titos trunks were blood soaked by the 5th  his dad was so mad he was slapping him in the corner

I really doubt Trinidad went into the Middleweight Tournament going "I'm going to fight Hopkins and lose".

Hopkins, Holmes, and Joppy were far from big draws/money makers. The tournament only took place because Trinidad was in it, HBO wouldn't have put up the money if it weren't for him drawing in so many fans.

Trinidad was the 3 to 1 favorite, Hopkins was pretty underrated at the time. Don King had the Middleweight Tournament trophy engraved for Trinidad as the winner and it was to be presented to Tito after he beat Hopkins. After Hopkins won, King claimed he "misplaced" the trophy

Trinidad kicked the crap out of Joppy, who was the 2nd best MW at the time (although a weak division). Tito gets a little undersold at middleweight. It's not like he lost to scrubs, he lost to B-Hop and Winky. Tito was a very big WW who had problems making weight as early as 1994, and had moved up to 154 back in 1997, but went down to chase a fight with DLH.

Trinidad just happened to face an ATG of the division, and another excellent fighter (and horrible style matchup) in Wright. I'd pick the Trinidad of 2001 over recent middleweight champs like Sergio Martinez (when he was supposed to be some elite p4p fighter) and today's Cotto.

    Trinidad didn't duck anyone .

    So that alone , I agree .

Trinidad was a fearless warrior that everyone loves and respects .

Floyd would never had that kind of respect and he brought that upon himself .

Tito's father always slaps him in the corner...

If Tito did not land a thing on Oscar, why did oscar say "I felt his power and did not want to feel it again..."

Vargas is a known roids cheat and he got brutalized by Tito for it. :good

    Deal with it peasant.

No, I take the judges word for it :hi:

Tito chased him for 5 rounds and 5 years. Oscar who is convinced he "won" for some reason had zero interest in doing it again. He fought Shane twice... Mayweather twice... Tito took his soul in the latter rounds.

Watch the fight without your fishnets and you will see Tito deserved the win. The fact that Oscar decided to turn a fight into a domestic violence scene from rounds 7-12 is what caused the judges to score the fight for Tito. Stop with your BS because at the time, Oscar was th Golden Boy and if anyone was going to get the decision, it would have been Oscar before the dildos and fishnets.

Total nonsense. Tito never cheated. The guy had legitimate power.
