At this time canelo has not really had enough top victories and a long enough career for me to pick him over Trinidad

Your so freaking deluded by your ethnocentric pride that you blind yourself. Tito was tkod by Bhop at 160 after a 12 round beating and Canelo out in his feet by and under achieving older lightweight brother of Cotto yet you auto respond with this bull. Lol

At this point in his career, Canelo gets Vargas'd and ruined. He'd suffer a crushing defeat at the hands of Tito. I doubt he makes it past round 6. There are levels to this sport, and right now, Canelo is levels below a prime Tito.

I met Tito dude had some massive mitts for a man his size looked like he punched walls lol....but seriously I was at the joppy fight and some of the punches sounded like a bomb exploded on flesh....tito was quite limited and pretty one dimensional but he had solid/technique, massive power and the heart of a lion not many guys built like him anymore one guy that comes to mind right now is Walters.

Canelo is a solid fighter indeed .

Yet I don't remember when he shown us he has a good chin .

He has not faced off with many bangers yet . Just Angulo , who was never in the fight to begin with .

Canelo chin is still a question mark .

Kirkland definitely would have test Canelos chin , too bad that fight was cancelled .

    Agreed .

Everyone knows Canelo clearly lost to Lara . But edged out Trout thanks to that knockdown .

I cant even see Canelo lasting that long .

    11 whole rounds ??

Nah , I pick Tito via Slaughter in 5 .

Canelo with that Mexican pride with try to engage in a firefight early once he starts to feel Trinidad walking him down and manhandling him with his superior power .

He will have too much heart for his own good .

I think Trinidad would prove too much for Alvarez.

Come on guyyyyy! Nothing was wrong with Tito's handwraps. Only in the state of New York, that style of wrapping hands was illegal. Any other place is fine...

Alvarez would not stand a chance. Trinidad was only ever beaten by physically bigger guys who were brilliant boxers like Hopkins and Wright(would have had an easier time with Wright if he wasn't past it). Trinidad was long and explosive, had tremendous stamina, and at 154, threw his combinations with precision and power. Sure he got knocked down in some fights in the early rounds, but it was probably due more to poor warm up and after getting knocked down, he was usually even more dangerous. It should also be noted that he was a very good boxer but abandoned it in favor of punching in the later half of his career.

Alvarez does not have the technique, experience, stamina, or physicality to even keep Trinidad off of him. Trinidad would circle, working a jab, and measuring for an opening. Alvarez is by far not a mobile fighter, does not circle well making him stationary, and against such a big puncher, blocking shots isn't going to make for good defense. Trinidad hurt guys through the gloves
