Well Floyd hasn't fought any welter as good as Tito so I really can't tell...

Didn't vote yet. But I would lean towards Tito in this. He was a different fighter in his prime @ 147 then you've probably seen. He was faster and a better mover. Not to mention, he wasn't a head hunter back then.

Floyd would need to move on his feet a lot, to keep out of Tito's range. Floyd'd better at body movement then lateral movement IMHO. He dodges punches, doesn't move away from them as much. And Floyd punches to the body and even arms and shoulders would take a toll.

Of course, I would NOT ever count Floyd out, but he would need to fight his perfect fight to win.

If Floyd goes to the ropes against Trinidad, he is a dead man walking.

tito was great @ 147 but he always needed to set his feet just to punch...if pbf moved all night like he did in the corrales fight then i dont think he would have much trouble with tito...it wouldnt be easy though but he'd win comfortably

I think he wont be able to land anything of significance. He didnt against De La Hoya, Hopkins or Winky....and i am absolutely certain he wont against floyd.

And if he didn't, then what? Floyd moved better @ 130 then he has @ 147, that's not difficult to see. Also, Chico's jab was non-exsistant throughout his career (which irritated me SO Much as it would help set up his follow ups punches). TIto used his WAAAAY more.

i dont think he'd land anything hard cleany throughout the fight and i doubt pbf would stand still and let tito get set to deliver those power shots

Contrary to popular (on this site) belief, Tito did land good punches against them. They just weren't as effective (especially against Hopkins & Winky).

Can i also say in the fights when tito needed to adjust he didnt. He has one gameplan and that is it. Floyd comes in with 2 or 3 different gameplans, he adjusts, compensates, finds his range and timing. Tito does not adjust well, and not a lot can be said about his corner either.

Sure, you can say that. But please remember WHICH FIGHTS those where againsnt and the type of adjustment he would have needed to be successful. Really, who's to say Tito would even need to adjust anything vs. Floyd?

i dont think its a matter of him not moving because he would have too because not doing so would play into what tito does best...he hasnt moved as well at 47 as he did at 30..true but he did move pretty good against baldomir

Yeah, but Baldomir couldn't carry tito's spit bucket carrier's jockstrap. :D

But I agree, Floyd would have to move more then he has had too.

against Oscar he looked lost and really didnt have an answer to what dlh was doing..and its not like dlh was doing anything special except moving laterally and pot shotting...i would say pbf could do what osacr did better than oscar himself

Maybe he might've. But you need to acknowledge Floyd doesn't have DLH's reach on his jab or probably as stiff a jab. Sucks that DLH had almost abandoned his stiff jab in favor or a more showy jab (just my opinion) as he got older. Reach can be a major factor in jabs, and quite frankly, aside from a few rounds vs. Hatton, Mayweather hasn't utlized his jab as a force in a while. Mainly because he hasn't needed to really.

Of course, I could see Floyd landed sharp, accurate punches on Tito, but he would need to potition himself in range and take Tito out of his rythm.

LIke I said, I would never count Floyd out. Just the cards would be stacked against him.
