I just find this idea that Tito was ducking Floyd, ****ing crazy crazy ****! For SO many reasons, first and foremost of which: TITO NEVER DUCKED ANYONE. This is the guy who fought a prime version of Bernard Hopkins & Oscar De La Hoya, amongst MANY others.
He got fat n lazy...He had some bodyfat in the RJJ fight that he could take off...Hes lazy..I'D like to see him come in and fight Kelly and whoop on Kelly but he's bein lazy..Tito has the chance (if he chooses to run and eat right) to come outta retirement and make an huge impact at 160 but he dont wanna fight below that because hes lazy man...I'd favor him over Kelly too.. Ima quit with this arguing about Tito-Mayweather cuz we never gonna really know...I think Floyd UD and ya'll think Tito late round Ko....
At what point did this guy have any credibility? All he ever says are boring cliches, "Calslappy" etc. YAWN.
In his history Tito has had trouble with defensive minded boxers ... they took away his best weapons and shut him out. Floyd would take away that left hook and then dance and box his way to victory and you actually may seen Mayweather's jab for a change.
I wouldn't go down that path man! I don't like Calzaghe, and Roy is a legend. But, I dislike trolls who don't contribute anything other than cliches about "slappy Joe" etc. and bull**** like "Tito ducked Floyd" a lot more.
I dont like Joe either but a fact is a fact regardless if Roy was way past his prime. We all know what would had happened if this fight took place 8 yrs ago the way it should had happened.
I think Roy was past his prime post Ruiz, perhaps around the time of Tarver I. 2008 version of Jones was shot-to-pieces and could only manage to fight about one round. And your absolutely right, if it had taken place say around the time of Jones vs. Woods, then Joe may well have been destroyed, or had he actually won, he might have a legitimate claim to be the calibre of world champion which he believes he is.
