Would Ike Quartey beat Tito Trinidad at 147? I give the Bazooka a good chance because of his boxing ability that gave Oscar hell, his soid chin and his own power.
Agreed, in fact Ike will likely drop Tito once or twice but in the end he will fade as always and get nailed with that left hook which has always been trouble for Ike. However he was able to neutralize Oscars left hook with that consistent jab and straight right hand, but he couldnt do it for a full 12 and against Titos hook its hard to imagine Ike would see the finish line
Ike starts fast, drops Tito. Tito comes on midway and Ike gets dropped late, making that the difference in the fight by a point or so as Tito takes the late rounds ala Delahoya/Quartey.
Quartey starts fast and drops Tito in the second Round, Tito starts picking up the pace by the middle rounds as Quartey slows,Tito as always grows stronger as the fight progresses while Quartey tends to fade down the stretch, the fight is about even going to the championship rounds, in the tenth round they exchange punches and Tito catches Quartey with a left hook and hurts him bad , Ike retreats to the the ropes looking to survive the round but Tito is relentless and goes for the kill he starts teeing of on the visibly hurt Quartey till the ref interferes and stops the fight. Trinidad KO 10.
Tito destroys Ike during the middle portion of the fight. But yes Ike drops Tito early which would wake Tito up and the punishment for Ike begins.
