Over the past week, there has been a lot of talk of Felix Trinidad fighting Jermain Taylor in the fall of 2008. Its supposed to be at either 168 or 170. Trinidad hasn't had too much success in these higher weight classes. He has basically been rendered ineffective. I think he has a chance though because Taylor leaves hisself open sometimes with his looping punches. Plus, he might want to slug it out with Trinidad. Taylor could easily outbox Trinidad and utilize his good jab, but the question is will he want to? At the end of the day, I think Taylor will pull out a decision. What do you guys at Eastside think?
I would like to see a Trinidad/Taylor fight, but I think Taylor will put out a wide UD with a few knockdowns..
if it was at 165 i pick trinidad but for him to say he cant get below 168 tells me he is not willing to sacrifice his body and put his effort into it and just go out use his name and make some money.
Taylor by wide UD or possible KO. Taylor wont go easy on Tito like RJJ did. Even with him slacking and showing off, he got two kd's.
Even a used-up Tito might KO that over-hype mediocrity Taylor. However, if Taylor remains vertical, you just KNOW he'll get the decision. Always happens, even when it shouldn't. :nod
