wright was doing nothing the whole fight except throwing a jab jusy like clottey was doing too pac but pac continued to throw despite landing few, i will never know why TITO stop throwing punches despite wright throwing very few and the few he threw non hurtful, it was an identical fight just reversed
I think your wayyyy off. First off Wright's jab is a power punch in itself and he presses foward the whole fight. And Wright threw alot of straight lefts and right hooks. To compare him to what Clottey did vs Pacquiao is crazy. There was no way Tito wouldve won that fight no matter how many punches he threw Wright wouldve just hit him up the middle if he tired.
I cant agree winky is not clottey, hes stronger, bigger, more imposing, and was landing near double digits in every round while being unstoppable, and fustrating tito with absorbing and deflecting everything that was thrown just about. You could tell Clottey was feeling Pacs shots, and you could hear Pacs punches on Clottey, no wonder he didnt want to open up.... but with Winkys strength and defence, Titos punches literally had no effect on winky, allowing him to do as he pleased pretty much and who Tito said himself winkys jab was STIFF, and there were plenty of times where wink landed pretty solid on tito. Not really comparable IMO.
Yea.... Wright was at the prime of his life then.... He was throwing combos.. And landing them.... Yea it was similar styles, but Winky WAS WAY BETTER at his job....

I have Titos whole career on dvd on no man ever backed tito up not even RJJ . It didnt matter how many punches TITO threw????? winky landed a total of 8 punches a round for the whole fight 99 total

I understand he doesnt punch all that hard but I think his punches are strong enough to back fighters off and keep them very honest. Look at how he backed Taylor up?? And Winky is just all wrong for Tito. He caughts all his shots and then just fires back with his jabs. Tito never had the side to side movement to really get around Winky's guard and make his punches count.
There are more differences between Pac's style compared to Tito's style than with Clottey's style to Wright's.
The difference was activity.... Winky threw like 557 jabs and landed 185 and landed 262 punches Tito landed 58... I dont think Pac landed no damn 200 and something punches... We all know thats a lie but Clottey has great defense he just didnt throw enough..... Because im sick and tired of people saying oh he just covered up.... For yall that have ever boxed, it is not that easy to just cover up especially against a Pro.... And if you do think it is... Got to your local Gym and try it... And watch somebody Tee off on yo ass......
