Nazim Richardson: To me, Trindad's situation was much, much different than Margarito's. What Trindad did was actually legal in some places. It just wasn't legal in New York. I had the rulebook with me right there in my hand.

Trinidad was an abrasion against the rules. Margarito downright had a weapon. There is a difference when you say you're playing chess and have your men lined up differently, as opposed to having extra men on the board. Margarito tried to bring extra men. He had a knuckle pad. Margarito had a strip over the back of his hand, around his thumb and wrist. They told me it was because of a previous injury was why they wrapped it that way. One look and you could tell it wasn't right.

 

As far as I can remember, Naseem Richardson noticed that they were using an excessive amount of gauze. They were packing it on after every layer of wrapping and Naseem said it was illegal because it would harden and make his hands "like bricks".

After initially refusing, Tito's people re-wrapped his hands.

 

lmao... Benny was the first one to respond. That was like watching that dude on youtube put his hand in the alligators mouth.

 

I hardly talk about the Tito situation of Margarito's for that matter. Its just boring at this point.

 

I remember that, I remeber that the handrapping way had an advantage. There was no plaster for sure but he made his raps cover his knuckles alot, like if he used 2 handraps for one hand.

 

Wasn't it tape over/under the gauze?

Brother naz is full of **** and he admitted to complaining about wraps just to get into titos head.

 

Brother Nas was not the chief second in the fight against Tito. Bowie Fisher was. Fisher said that when he got to the locker room Titos left hand was already wrapped & Titos people told Fisher that he could wrap BHops hand however they want. :dead

 

Trinidad use to wrap his hands a certain way that gave him more power, Margarito had **** in his wraps

 

MMA guys don't pound eachother in the face for 12 x 3 minute rounds, one punch is all it takes alot of the time.

 

He tried to accomplish the same thing as Margarito, just less effectively. I guess Margarito had a smarter trainer.

 

I agree, Tho it is kinda weird how Trindad's career went post "Wraps".
