Orite guys I'm 17 and was talking to a pal of mine whos also a boxer. We were talking about taking a trip to the states next summer to get loads of sparring of the pros. Go round some good gyms and learn the trade because I think in order to be a solid pro u need to learn the yank style. Has anyone done anything like this? Its really just a dream right now but I think it could happen in the summer if I save up some cash. What city do u think would be the best to go to? LA or NY or maybe vegas?
Ny, Houston and LA would probably be a good start. Make sure you have your trainer contact the trainer at each gym you intend on visiting and set up a time to come in. Just showing up will get you no where real fast.
The best cities pound for pound for pound in boxing here in the states are in my opinionnot necessarily in order) 1. Philadelphia 2. Detroit 3. Cincinnati 4. New York 5. Albuqueque NM 6. Houston 7. Los Angeles 8. Miami 9. Providence RI 10. San ANtonio TX I don't want to **** off other members if I didn't mention your city, but these ten really stick in my mind with the amount of amateur and pro prospects and champions have come out of these cities. Just seems like alot of good fighters have come out of these places.
