It's members like you that are dragging this forum down on a daily basis.

    You make it so tiresome.

You have no understanding of anything.

I don't know anybody who's really happy with this fight. But open your eyes and objectively look at the CIRCUMSTANCES.

Did GG know what was going to transpire on Friday? Unless he had psychic powers, no.

It's pointless comparing Lara to Brook. Because he never chose Brook over Lara. He chose Brook over Eubank.

    Do you understand?

HBO were happy for him to go to England to fight on PPV at the O2. Although Eubank hasn't got a great resume, he's garnered a lot of attention over the past few years. He's a big name in Britain both with the knowledgeable fans as well as the casuals.

Erislandy Lara is a good fighter. But he's a JMW, and hardly anybody in Britain knows who he is.

Again, Brook was a last minute replacement for Eubank.

Although Lara could be a bigger threat to GG than Brook, Brook was available to fight on the same night as Eubank, under the same contract terms, and in my opinion, he probably has a bigger following than Eubank's. So the PPV is likely to be just as successful, if not more so, as what they'd have hoped for a Eubank fight.

Now why have I had to explain that to you??

    GG hasn't dragged Brook anywhere.

    Answer these basic questions:

(Before the Eubank fight fell through)

    1. Why would GG have gone out of his way to have fought a relatively unknown JMW, when he had the opportunity to fight in a big PPV fight for his U.K. debut against a MW?

(After the Eubank fight fell through)

    2. Why would GG have turned down the opportunity to still have made his U.K. debut in another big PPV fight on the same HBO date, to try and fight Lara?

It wouldn't have made any SENSE to have refused Brook to pursue Lara.

    It's ridiculous.

Brook is a good fight for all concerned UNDER THE CIRCUMSTANCES.

I'm so sick of coming on here and explaining things like this to members like you.

Go and educate yourself on the options they were left with and the business side of the sport.

Were better fighters available under the same terms, for the same date etc?

People are saying that Lara would be better than Brook. That's fine. But GG didn't pick Brook over Lara. He picked Brook over Eubank.

    Big difference.

We want to see the best fights. But nobody in GG's position would have turned down Brook to have pursued Lara hoping that they could fight on that same HBO date.

    Be realistic.

    Look at the circumstances.

Put yourself in Loeffler's position on Friday afternoon.

    What would you have done?

We've only got 4 words from you this time.

I'm disappointed, as I was expecting at least 6.

Under the circumstances, a Brook fight isn't worse than Khan.

People have to look at the circumstances.

GG and his team didn't go out of there way to pursue Kel Brook. Brook is a last minute replacement for Eubank.

    Big difference.

I don't have to be realistic.

I'm a fan for he sport, not the bank account of those who participate in it.

He wants more money, I want more competitive fights. None of us will lose sleep over it.

Same here, but Andrade isn't too keen on it.

He basically calls out Lara as a runner and pitty-pat puncher, and says he'd fight him only as a "last resort".

That was posted up on the scene after his last fight.

no one wants to watching these boring ass cuban fighters.

lara and rigo need to realize that this sport is called prize fighting for a reason and no one is going to pay to watch you two run for 12 rounds.

He couldn't fight Lara this time because he had the date, venue, etc. But he's had plenty of other chances to at least negotiate the fight.
