Amir Khan was outboxing Canelo for the first 4 rounds! He took 4 rounds of Canelo and had Canelo peppered from the get go.

His movement, speed and tempo had Canelo confused.

The fact that a fighter like Khan gave him that much trouble, proves that Canelo is not the Elite fighter you Mayweather nut swingers claim him to be.

Golovkin has a better shot selection and footwork. Canelo would struggle.

 

Luckily for Canelo the fight never gets made. This fight completely exposed how limited Canelo's boxing skills are. He looked like a destroyer against Khan, who I never thought was elite at 147. Both Mosley and Cotto managed to go the distance with Canelo and they were both way past their prime.

 

If Canelo doesn't fight GGG at ANY weight then he needs to renounce his Mexican citizenship.
