It's like the thread I saw the other day from a Ward fan complaining about Povetkin wanting to fight at home. The hypocrisy on this site is really out of hand.

Golo is good but until he really challenges himself he will not be great! Personally, the only reasons I want him to hang around at 160 is to see a showdown between him and Canelo. I think that fight would be great and both will truely test each others wills and hearts, as well as their chins. I honestly think that is one of the main reasons Golo is still campaigning at 160, he wants that mega pay-day vs 'Nelo. You know Andre Ward will not bring him that type of payday, however it will get him respect... win, loose, or draw.

I think it's great he is trying to unify a division, but still, if there is no one in that division that will elevate him to that "GREAT" level. He needs to challenge himself... but not till he fights Canelo...LOL!

Ward is going for that challenge himself against Kovalev. If Ward beats Kov, he will be, without question GREAT! Even if he looses he gets props!

Nobody even knows GG except diehard boxing fans and the boxing media. It is a clear double standard. Ward pretty much beat who was known at 168 and since GG didn't want to fight him, he went to 175. GG doesn't have to go up because he still hasn't won the lineal MW title-that's my opinion. GG hasn't faced the best, but because his fans and the media like his style, he does get a pass when the media ask him why doesn't he move up.

 

Funny thing is....Ward's two biggest fights will have taken place outside of oakland .....

Yeah, the funny thing is that those videos do show hypocrisy but not in the way the OP intended.

Some of the boxers featured live in fairly glassy houses but those houses are built in the U.S of A so it's all good apparently.

Well last I checked Dirrell looked a shell of the version that gave Froch so many problems ABROAD in the UK and was still operating at 168. This wouldn't suggest a fight with Golovkin is all that likely. He was how we supposed to fight Andre Ward but Ward came out with a whole load of BS about it at the time.

And I always had a lot of time for the Matrix so you def haven't seen me criticising him for anything other than wasting his natural talents. I had him nicking the fight with Froch but didn't expect him to get a decision on the road fighting like that. It's a shame but it's the way it is.
