GGG is great to watch, skilled with big time power and precision.. I think he can beat everyone in the middleweight division, besides Martinez..
whats all this talk about martinez destroys him, he destroys chevez etc etc hes p4p bla bla. Golovkin is going to give us some great fights over the next few years. Is he beatable? Most certainly, given someone with a good enough jab and movement. BUT Boxing fans seriously talk a lot of ****. Maybe more than any other sport. Its almost like fans of fighters want a fighter to be the best but not involved in good fights and once someone has lost, they are pretty much pointless. Its ****ing ******ed. Finally theres a mix of decent middleweights and people talk like half the fights shouldnt even take place because we already know what the outcome will be.
He may walk straight into them i highly doubt he'd be walking out the other side of those shots if you know what i mean. Chavez does have his shear size to try and impose but not a lot else, he doesnt hit that hard and is fairly basic in his approach. I can see GGG riding out a rough few early rounds trying to contend with Chavez's size and strength, as the contest progresses i think Golovkin takes advantage of Chavez's lack of subltely and PlanB. I think a key point that needs to be explored is that guys like Proksa and Rosado have the experience to try and box off the back foot and to try and outright survive, does Chavez? What happens when Chavez realises he cant just march forward into Golovkins shots because they hurt a little too much? I highly doubt he has the manouvability to box on the back foot or the experience to know when to stop marching forward. I think some peaple can be a little bit crazy with their love for Golovkin and the opponents they pick him over. However i think Chavez is definately a winnable bout and something they should target in the near future, shame Arum would stop it happening.
He got lumped up by Rosado. A jr Middleweight with 5 loses and zero amateur background. Sure GGG mashed-potatoed Rosoda's face, but i fully expected a beating given who Rosado was. The kid has heart but he is garbage. GGG is fun to watch though. He doesnt watse punches and throws with mean intentions. But his little head movement will be target practice for a guy like Sergio. I think Sergio beats him in a tough fight.
I think with Golovkin at times its a case of if the punches are not hurting why should i move out of the way kind of attitude, i cannot see him maintaining that attitude as he progresses, at least i hope not.
Weren't you the guy who predicted Rosado would beat up that " overhyped bum " in Golovkin ? I guess he's still a bum though and Geale would most likely annihilate him via Split Decision...
He needs to work the body more. I thought he could've taken Rosado out earlier if he went downstairs more often. His jab is vicious though and turned Rosado's face into a bloody mess.
GGG is very impressive but lets keep in mind last night was a complete cherry pick vs a dude who isn't even the 5th best in the division below...... He's still yet to notch one significant win......Martinez and Ward both whup imo, too easy to hit, him vs Gaele is 50/50 but still can't deny he's great to watch, controls the fight beautifully and has crazy power. He needs a decent opponent soon though, it's becoming a joke and you know what happens when you're kept away from good fighters for as long as he has been- you get shell shocked when you step up in class cause you're used to feasting on cans.....
Golovkin and Martinez would be an action-packed war in my opinion, but I think it's extremely clear that neither are great middleweights. Golovkin is good, but he's not that good. When you show vulnerabilities and have some issues with fighters like Macklin, Barker, and Rosado, you're not all that.
