Jacobs and Quillin sold out the Barclay center which has maybe 2,000 less seats than MSG. The fight was held there because it was billed as the battle of Brooklyn. Jacobs brings the same thing that GGG brings and that's the drawing power to sell the place out. However, GGG is better known throughout the world than Jacobs and plus he has the majority of the belts. That's why I think that a 60/40 split is fair.

So despite both fighters being from New York... and yet a man from Kazakhstan and one from Canada sold out a larger arena in a Jacobs hometown. By the way Jacobs Quillian did not sell out....in Jacobs own words..
Friday night slot on basic cable.

“I don’t know what else I can do,” Jacobs told scene “When you think about superstar quality, when you think about a guy who has the potential to do all these things – I think to myself, ‘What am I not bringing to the table, not being able to sell out arenas?’ It’s frustrating because I wasn’t even able to sell out the Barclays Center when I fought Peter Quillin. Two black fighters, from Brooklyn. It had the recipe for a sellout crowd and it wasn’t sold out.”

The card headlined by Jacobs-Quillin drew an announced crowd of 8,443 to Brooklyn’s Barclays Center on December 5, not even half of a sellout. That’s far from a box-office failure for this niche sport in a crowded 2016 sports marketplace. It’s not a spectacular number, either.

I think 60/40 Golvkins favor is OK......the same as 60/40 Canelo's favor against Golovkin is OK....Promoters have to stop destroying the Sport with outlandish and unreasonable offers to opposing Fighters.....It's ruining Boxing.!!!

Only his idiotic fans will claim he's all about glory when all GGG has done is feast on bums and overly matched opponents yet thanks to the idiotic support he gets, he's making demands already. If he does eventually score a big win, look for him to go full-out 100% money and still he will get backed for it by the idiots.

Doesn't look like either man budged or at least tried. Golovkin stuck to 75/25, Jacobs stuck to 60/40. You'd think they'd meet at 70/30 or 65/35.

golovkin was the wba regular champ. they bumped him up to super duper champ, and gave the regular belt to some clown like jacobs (no idea who, don't care) golovkin never lost the regular belt and won't get it if he beats jacons. it is no longer a real belt.

Golovkin is the champion, has the drawing power, Jacobs is just the mandatory, regular WBA champion, was a bunch of crap..............Golovkin is the champion, Jacobs is the challenger, nothing else, so go by the WBA rules, 75 - 25..............
