Its just my personal view that no one except maybe an on-fire Degale can pose problems to GGG at 168, otherwise I think he'll carry that power with him and knocks out all the them just like at 160

You need absolutely to have very good footwork and excellent movement skills plus a granite "chin" to go along with the power to keep GGG at bay and earn he's respect
So the list of who can take Golovkin's 0 is very short

This, and I have no problem with it. My problem is posters looking to blame either fighter. It's OK for Golovkin to want 75 over 60 but not Jacobs to want 40 over 25? Double standards. Hopefully they meet in the middle.

He has never fought at 168 so we don't know how he will do. I am not saying he will do good or bad just that without a fight at 168 to gauge him its all subjective BS. I agree to disagree. But I am not disagreeing and saying that he will do bad just that we need to see a fight at 168 to properly gauge him.

Canelo would have offered Jacobs 5-10% if he was lucky. Well, assuming Canelo would go anywhere near Jacobs, which he wouldn't. Ward would have paid him 30k like the last chump he fought.

Yet, Golovkin is the bad guy here? LOL

It's only a double standard if you think they have the same views as you. The more vocal fanbase on this forum think it's okay for fighters to bend rules or be greedy because this is "prize fighting" and they're doing this to make money. The other side don't care one bit if a fighter makes 3 million or 5 million in their fight so long as they make enough money to live comfortably because they care more about making good fights. My point isn't to say who is right and who is wrong but to point out that there is a double standard but at the same time there isn't. If you're in the former group then sure, double standard for sure. If you're in the Latter than you think the sanctioning body rules are what's fair and any deviation off of that number is being greedy. Since Jacobs is deviating off that number he is the greedy one. Since Canelo was the one deviating off that number in the GGG - Canelo negotiations then Canelo was being greedy. When you're on the latter side of the argument then there is no double standard.

What will you say if Pbc wins the purse bid and GGG drops his belt?

Getting 75% of the purse and still don't take the fight?

If the WBA belt is the only belt on the line then I think that 60/40 is a fair deal because they are (on paper) co-champions. If the fight takes place in New York then Jacobs will carry most of the live gate attendance because they love him in New York. If GGG is putting all his belts on the line, then he by all means deserves the lions share. IMO.

GGG sold more tickets in NY than Jacobs did.

Ha I hardly doubt that. Why do you say Jacobs doesn't want it?

He wasn't fighting Jacobs though. New Yorkers support their own.

I like many others gave Jacobs a bit of a pass due to previous health problems. It's great to see someone overcome that kind of adversity and making the fight with Quillin was good for the division. The fights with Sergio 'The Cure For Insomnia' Mora, less so.

It's now time for him to step up. If he wants to be the man in the division then he knows what he needs to do. Enforce his mando and take the fight to the ageing Kazakh.

My post was in relation to Jacobs pulling in the majority of the gate if the fight took place in New York. However I will address your post. He gets no pass from me, I whole heartily think that he should take the fight because I think that he is ready and will give a good accounting of himself. Win or lose. I also think that it should be a 60/40 fight if the only belt on the line is the WBA's.

I'm not sure he would. History tells us that Golovkin can sell out MSG quicker than Danny.

I also think Danny would do a lot better than many think. He's a hard hitting 160lber who should be looking to try and stamp his authority on the division. He doesn't seem to share that confidence though. And I totally disagree on the split being negotiable. He's had his value out of that trinket already. He's a paper champ and that belt means nothing to anyone who knows anything about boxing. He's had the cash out of that and should now accept the mando split he signed up for.
