I wonder if any Angler Fish use The Clapper to turn on and off their light. Hmm, nevermind... getting their fins to clap together might be a challenge.

Actually that's exactly what happens, the gloves are delivered for inspection factory sealed under most major fight contracts. They are then opened and inspected usually the day prior to the fight and then retained until the time of the fight by the SAC / governing body officials.

It's done this way precisely so that such accusations can't be brought against the fighter or team, and to make sure the gloves ain't tampered with.

So yeah - if Rosado was saying the padding on factory sealed gloves was illegal, it's exactly Grant who he was pointing the finger at, though I'm not sure he thought that through when he made his comments.

Aren't you the reprehensible scumbag that was defending Concreto for loading up his gloves?

in any other case, it would've been thrown out and left at off the back...over 13 people handled that pad before it was turned in, you can't let the prime piece of evidence be held that many times before being turned in....remember, all they found were "traces" of sulfur and calcium....which is produced by the human body.....leading me to believe they were just old pads.....illegal yes, since they have to be "brand spanking new"....but dangerous...come on now man, tampered wraps will hurt the dumbass wearing them...not the person on the other end being protected by a cushioned glove.....think about that for a minute, let common sense kick in..

So what are you saying is that the prospering business (Grant company) who makes gloves for the top fighters, including Mayweather, Hopkins and Klitchko, would even consider risking their repurtation to illegally help GGG? It's absurd to even think about. Reputation is the most important value for these companies, it cannot be even argued.

 I just realized, I have actually eaten anglers! What is commonly known as "monkfish" here in the northeastern United States - which I've tasted - is a type of angler.

(there is also something called a "monkfish" on the other side of the Atlantic, in northern European waters - a completely different species but anglers too, and consumed by humans...)

if anyone here has ever put on a pair of grant fight gloves...u'd know they are stiffer than most gloves.

i've seen quite a few fighters raise issues over grants.

floyd was called out on his gloves, i believe it was against ortiz...he switched them because of the thumbs.

andy lee called out chavez over his grants and asked to have them weighed...freddie told him to go fcuk himself.

rosado raised issues against ggg but opted to fight anyway.

these custom gloves are suspect imo. having them approved by the commission means jack ****. they need to be certified the same way amateur gloves are certified.

I respect "the nothing to see here" folks, I used to be one of them until the Floyd-Pac fiasco. Now I question everything that could be possible if it has good reasons to be possible. Grant's goal is to be known as a KO glove, they are already designing for maximum KO output. So who is to say what kind of length's they are going through to do that, I am sure they would do everything they possibly could within the "rules" of the commission to put out a punching glove.

And if they realize the commission either does not or has no way of measuring thickness of padding around the knuckle and they could get away with putting less there then why wouldn't they? Especially if that's what their name brand fighter wanted, that is exactly the kind of goals they are after for advertisement, and no repercussion's?? You can bet your bottom dollar (have no idea what that means...lol) that is exactly what they'd do.
