    and that's all I'm saying....people think the commission being involved actually means anything...most people on those stupid commissions don't even know jack **** about boxing, let alone a glove or how it's supposed to feel.....just cause they weigh the same don't mean ****, the weight can be distributed different with every single pair.....

    do you think EVERLAST, who shits all over grant would risk anything in a fight of such huge magnitude...like a mayweather fight ???

    of course you wouldn't.....yet those gloves were approved by the same commission that later had a change of heart...all because 1 guy noticed something they couldn't......

    Seriously Dapro, you should know better than that. Floyd wears / wore 'custom' Grants - though he wore custom orthopaedics rather than custom 'punchers'.

    Custom, when refering to pro gloves means nothing more than them being delivered to the fight in customised colours according to perhaps a fight theme or a national flag colourscheme.

    I can see a point in gloves being standardised, but why should that err towards the orthopaedics rather than thinner or 'puncher' style gloves which recent research suggests might be more rather than less likely to produce long term damage?

    Now, to get back on topic, why the f#kk don't more people know about Anglerfish? These guys are the real beasts of deep ocean predation (though I do have plenty of time for Sperm whales and both the giant and colossal squid as well, size ain't everything) . Have you see the f#kkers teeth? And that glowing lure is something that only the slow genius of evolution could have designed.

    Real masterpieces (they may look ugly to us, but practically is beauty in terms of natural selection) of predation, and perfectly designed for the stygian blackness of the sunless depths, these guys really deserve a thread all to themselves.

    yes, i do think they would risk it. that's why their rep came with all those other gloves....just in case. they're banking on the ignorance of the ppl in the commission.

    i'm pretty sure it was the ortiz fight...his thumbs were patent leather. they disapproved them. of course they're more orthopedic.
