This question was posted on RETRO BOXING 4 photos of fights were shown and you had to name the common denominator between them. The fights were Sullivan v Kilrain Dempsey v Willard Willard v Johnson Robinson v Maxim Can you guess what they had in common?
I'm absolutely stumped McVey. I compared weights, states, boxing venues, refs, judges, years, months, days, rounds, method of win, the number of rounds the fights lasted, and the purses and I'm stumped. I even looked at the photos to see if there is someone or something in common. Idk.
The amount of knockdowns is dissimilar: Dempsey floored Willard 7x, and Willard only dropped Johnson 1x I believe. Robinson slipped vs. Maxim, and was never down. Idk about Sullivan vs. Kilrain.
No Yes all fights were in temperatures of over 100 degrees. It was guessed on Retro by Henry Hascup, a lovely old fella who used to post here.
I think that's at least something that connects these fights. All of them are reported to have been fought in temperatures exceeding 100 degrees F.
