Montreal has it's share of crooked referees....... Obviously germany has as well....

Still a german venue would make more ECONOMIC sense than a neutral.

You think this fight brings in over 14K people in Germany?

Germany's level of corruption in boxing is lightyears ahead of any other country's.

There was 20K for Taylor if I remember correctly. This fight is bigger.

I dont think Germany is worse than most other places.

Alright, let's assume "it makes sense"... you think Showtime buys that? Putting their home champ's belt at stake in corruption land? No way. Like Ward would be excited to go there. Not happening.

They should just put all those semi finals in Montreal and we'll pack that place up. The perfect neutral venue !!

Ward vs Abraham would draw at least 10 000 to 12 000 in Montreal with a decent undercard. They don't get more in Oakland anyways...

Why Vancouver ? Don't think they'd give a **** truly... If you're gonna have it in Canada, right now Montreal is where it's financially feasible.

I already said that it was likely by demand of Showtime that the semifinals and final was to be staged in the US.

Then why were suggesting the fight takes place in Germany 'so the dirty stuff gets called' and because it makes economic sense? They won't accept the idea, where has Hennessy...

"Carl is an icon/idol in Nottingham, he obviously wants to have this important fight go down in front of his fans, but I know negotiations about the fight being held at the Bell Centre in May are pretty serious between Mick and Jean Bedard", said Canadian Hennessy representative Adam Harris.
"You have to put things in perspective; there are very few chances Johnson agrees to fight Froch in the UK. Montreal is neutral territory, something Johnson and his people have put down as a requirement."

I never suggested that the fight would take place in Germany. I was only arguing IF it took place there.

Whatever man. You were backing the other guy's proposal of sending Ward-AA to Germany by defending its 'fairness' in the ref department. :D

Surely you agree with me that Ward wouldn't be allowed to to use his dirty stuff there no?

Yeah for sure (as in, no way they let him be who he is in Oakland).

Point is, he'd get warned -and rightfully so- in Montreal AND the cards would reflect reality better than in Germany.

A neutral venue would always, all things equal, reflect reality better I agree.
