The fact that there are so few responses to an excellent post like this demonstrates just how useless most posters in the general forum are. You should move it to the Classic section where people who actually appreciate boxing might still remain.
It was arguably the best fight of the 1980s, and also arguably not even Saad's most exciting fight ever.
Saad-Lopez 2 was one of the great fights I've seen. I will never forget how it looked, for a moment, like Lopez had won the fight. Then somehow Saad managed to stay afloat and went on to wear down and stop a spent Lopez. Yaqui was one of the best fighters of his era who never won a title. He came close a few times.
