Does anyone think Trout could go up to 168 and have a go at Ward? He looked big on Saturday, never looked hurt and and boxed smart.

    What you guys think?

No, looking big and not getting hurt vs a small JMW doesn't equal = SMW

Let's look to 160lbs first. Which is a weight I think he can make comfortably.

Lol no way but he could maybe go up to MW later in his career

  11. He'd be a force at 160 for sure... 168 is pushin it.

He has little power at 154, and at times was damn near terrified of being hit by Cotto's pillow fisted ass, his ceiling is 160, and he gets beat by the other elites at 154

I know its the week after a fight so its traditional on esb to get completely carried away and over hype someone but shall we try and think logically for once........

It was a very good performance by Trout he looked sharp, boxed well, did the 12 rounds at a good pace and never really looked in any trouble but lets be real Cotto is a small jmw who had a poor performance after the first few rounds it seemed he neglected the jab, barely threw his right hand and just seemed to focus on left hooks and rushing tactics.
There was nothing in that performance that made me believe he could put on 14lbs and mix it with the best at 168.

    This......................

I'm not even sure if Trout beats Cotto in a rematch, Cotto simply had no ****ing strategy for the south paw, he didnt throw the jab out their to find range and close the distance, and he wouldn't throw the right, when he landed a couple great straights, and Trout was open for it damn near all night.............**** I still have yet to see a GIF f 2 solid blows Trout landed. It was a ugly fight that he outworked Cotto in nothing more.

I'm fine if he doesn't get Canelo even though he earned the shot, unfortunately that fight isn't that appealing to me, now that I had a few days to mull it over
