Anyone like Trout to beat Alvarez at that price?

    Assuming that Canelo:

    - hasn't fought a noteworthy southpaw.

    - his best wins so far have been against guys who were willing to stand in front of him (Lopez, Mosley, Cintron, Rhodes, Hatton, Baldomir). Trout will make him work alot harder than those guys.

    - Only unloads combinations when he is allowed in range. From what I've seen of Trout he judges distance very well and did a good job of frustrating Cotto's combos.

    - He's a full sized 154 lber

I rate Canelo but I think Trout is v good value at those odds

I agree. That's a solid bet. It's a close fight and you can more than double your money.

imagine the odds for Trout decision. Better to put a bit on Trout decision than load up on just Trout and then he gets robbed

    Canelo might destroy the guy.

Cotto wasn't a fully fledged 154 pounder but Canelo hasn't fought a fully fledged 154 pounder.

Trout hasn't fought anyone of note other than Miguel Cotto and Delvin Rodriguez.

If Canelo can't knock him out he won't win.

 I understand you picking Canelo, but please don't throw out the "Trout hasn't fought anybody" card justifying your pick

Trout has a better "top 4 wins" than Alvarez does. But after that, Trout has absolutely nothing on his resume.

Canelo will walk through trout. A TKO in favor of the Ginger would not surprise me.

There is almost no denying the Cotto who fought trout was not 100%, was significantly weaker than trout, and was sluggish.

He didn't seem to have a game plan for trout, nor it it appear he was prepared for trout.

    Safe money is on Canelo.

lol im sayin instead of puttin money on it at 21/10 put a bit on him decision which will probably be like 4/1, he wont win by ko and could get robbed so puttin it on 21/10 isnt worth it when hes not gonna win by ko

OK I was 95% sure that's what you were trying to say...

If you're going with Trout, I agree with you.

well, a tko by canelo will be offered at 6 to 1 so it should suprise you as 6/1 longshots statistically are more like 8/1 as you pay for the juice.

so, statistically 8-1 has about a 12.5 percent chance of happening.

and yeah, i know what im talking about as i would bet you right now the odds wont be any better than 6-1 (tko/ko/dg).

we can do a nice friendly bet of $100.00. i can accept credit cards and my chase bank can quick pay to any US bank.

    you feel me?

by the way, what exactly do you mean by "walk through trout?"

we can do a bet on that, too.

that is unless youre talking out of your ass.

lol yeah i think Trout wins this. But will get robbed because it messes up a Canelo/Mayweather fight

At what, 1/3? Have to disagree that it's safe money risking capital for such a modest return.

Trout by decision straddled with Canelo by KO could be something to look at. Need to check the odds.

Other factors in the equation include:
-How likely the ref is to stop it (anyone know who the ref is?)
-How likely the corners are to stop it
-Controversial decision eg Canelo getting the benefit of the doubt in close rounds and stealing it

All in all, I think the price is good value. Put down 100 to win 210 and your stake back. Trout will likely win by decision if he does, but I like the straight 'W' bet because it covers against stoppage on cuts, premature stoppages from refs/corners, which can be erratic.
